Skorting Around

Skort Zara Shoes Sandro T-shirt & Bag Penneys/Primark Leather Jacket Lipsy

A little delayed outfit post from last Sunday wearing the old faithful skort! I was quite hesitant to buy it at 1st as I had seen it on so many people but it really is such a comfortable and versatile piece!
Hope everyone's having a great week:)

Style File: Nicole Richie

I recently watched my 1st episode of Fashion Star, the American tv show where Nicole Richie mentors emerging designers as they try to impress top industry buyers. It all sounded like my dream programme, but to be honest I thought it was so badly edited I couldn't even watch it. Big disappointment! But it did remind me of how much I adore Nicole Richie!

I can never pinpoint one thing I love about Nicole's outfits, I think its just how she puts everything together. Now I am well aware that behind every celeb is a top stylist, but I still think how you wear things is far more important than what you wear.

I've compiled a few of my favourite shots of Nicole, hope you enjoy:)

Purple Rain

Leather Jacket Zara Boots Penneys/Primark Limited Collection
Top & Necklace Penneys/Primark Skinnies Dr.Denim

Apologies for the shortage of detail shots but just as we went to get more photos,
the bus came along:)
I wore this to town Saturday evening for some Burritos in Corks new Burrito Bar El Banditos. If you haven't been there yet, I highly recommend it! Their Nachos are to die for! Of course Mexican food has to be followed by beers, so we headed to Sober Lane for a few.

I am running my 1st competition over on my Facebook page to win the beautiful necklace below from Devilish Designs by Gina, follow this link A Stitch in Style to enter:)

Ripped Apart

Jumper & Blazer Zara Jeans Bershka

Ripped denim seems to be one of those trends that just wont go away.
Its a good thing I love it so much!
Such a versatile trend, it can be worn in many ways, shapes & forms. The first people that come to mind when I say ripped jeans is the Olsen Twins and their grungy, laid back style.
But fear not, if that look isn't your thing it can be adapted to a more polished style with a crisp white shirt, some strappy heels and a leather clutch.

My top tip if you are trying to distress your denim yourself is to use a cheese grater:)

Here are a few of my favourite ripped denim images

Neon Bright

So at last here is my first proper outfit post:)
I had a busy weekend spent at the beach, dancing with friends, eating lovely food, walking by the river and of course catching up on my favourite fashion magazines.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoys my 1st outfit post.
I'd love to hear what you think!

Painted Faces

Every girl knows that one of the best parts of going out is the planning and getting ready. While most of my time goes into deciding what to wear, I also spend a considerable amount of time thinking about how I'll do my make-up. I can spend hours watching tutorials on Youtube and browsing Pinterest for inspiration.

So as I'm thinking about what to wear tomorrow night,
I thought I'd share a few of the beauty images inspiring me this weekend:)

Stained Glass

One of my favourite trends that I'm seeing emerging for AW13 is Stained Glass prints.
Whether its on sweaters, leggings, scarves or bags, this McQueen inspired look is going to be everywhere for the winter months.

If your budget wont stretch to the Alexander McQueen originals, ASOS are doing amazing more affordable versions of the trend.

Left My Heart In Greece

I thought it was about time I did a more personal post so I wanted to share a few of my holiday snaps with you. Ive just returned from a week in one of my favourite places in the world, Greece. It was our fourth time visiting the island of Zakynthos and I can highly recommend it! We stayed in an area called Tsilivi, which is the perfect mix of activity and relaxation.
I love everything about Greece, the people, the food, the sites, the history and of course...
the weather:)

There are a lot of tourist trips to do on the island, but we wanted to do something a bit different this time so we got a ferry to the mainland to visit Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympics. The site was such an amazing place to visit, steeped in history and stories.

We also visited the beautiful hilltop town of Bochali, perched high overlooking the capital town of Zante. The views there were absolutely breathtaking, the perfect spot for an iced coffee and some photos. We got a taxi up there as it is very steep, but walked back down to the stunning Zante harbour for some well deserved ice-cream and shopping.

And the rest of our time was spent relaxing by the pool, swimming in the crystal clear sea, eating amazing Greek food and drinking cocktails. Hope you enjoyed my little holiday post, I've added in some outfit details too:)

Until next time Greece...
