I really don't like January. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone here! Its so cold & quiet that the only way to get through it is to treat ourselves or make some exciting plans! I've done a bit of shopping, booked a weekend away and am starting back at the gym tomorrow morning! It seems like the whole country is on a January Detox/Health Kick and I'm loving it! Its nice to start the year off on a positive note!

 

I started talking about January because this outfit is all about the layers & wrapping up! It has been so cold in Cork these last few weeks. I love my new Penney's hat as its so snug & cosy and, at €3, wont break the bank! I've had my eye on this adorable little camera bag from Accessorize for ages and snapped it up in the Sale for just €20!

I am feeling very festive this weekend! I finally got a start on my Christmas shopping and we visited the lovely market in town for some tasty goodies! We also got our tree up and mulled some wine. I do love this time of year!

Christmas Windows

 

So it has been a bit quiet here at A Stitch in Style, but now I can show you why! We have been up the walls in work getting ready for Christmas, decorating the store & of course installing our Christmas Windows! The theme this year was the Theatre, my photos aren't the best but hopefully you can make it in to have a look for yourself if you're in Cork for the Festive season!

 

I just love this time of year, I'm off to make myself a hot port and get started on my Christmas shopping list!

Jump From Paper

My boyfriend got me this amazing, whimsical bag for my birthday in June. If you follow me on Instagram then you've probably seen it already, but I'm only getting around to blogging about it now!

Never before have I had an accessory that makes me smile so much! It is from a company called Jump from Paper and is available in The Glucksman Art Gallery Gift Shop, an Irish exclusive!

 

I have a feeling this brand is going to be huge!

Stella & Dot Launch

I was very excited to attend the Irish launch of Stella & Dot in The Marker Hotel in Dublin a few weeks ago

(I'm very late I know!)

The global accessories brand has already got over 70 independent stylists working for them in Ireland and can also be bought online at www.stelladot.ie

 

From vintage inspired pieces to modern versatile designs, chunky beads, delicates and a signature charm collection to versatile totes, clutches, scarves & travel accessories, there is literally something for everyone!

I think this is just the beginning of something huge for Stella & Dot in Ireland!

 

I've photographed some of my favourite pieces from the launch party, I'm still dreaming of that beautiful Zebra print clutch! We were also treated to delicious Stelladotinis and the most amazing Macaroons!

Clover Canyon

 

Clover Canyon has only just popped up on my radar and I am already in LOVE!!

The label, founded in 2011, hails from LA and every single piece is designed, printed and made in their Californian atelier. The unique pieces are an excitable explosion of colour, print & pattern on modern, wearable silhouettes. The style nods towards Mary Katrantzou & Peter Pilotto, but in a much more affordable price range, with most dresses around €200.

 

With a huge celebrity following, including Kourtney Kardashian and Solange Knowles,

this label is definitely one to watch!

CFW Designer of the Year Show

Saturday night I attended the highly anticipated Designer of the Year Show as part of Cork Fashion Week. The show was held in the stunning Triskel Christchurch and it was also a great opportunity to meet some lovely Irish bloggers that I hadn't met before. The design talent was outstanding and I was very impressed with the Millinery section of the show.
